Mental and physical energy

May you have the courage to break the patterns in your life that are no longer serving you.

Hi,

It is time to speak about energy, physical, and mental energy. Don’t we all need more vigor to be ready for whatever life throws at us? In these times when we are so easily distracted by so much information on so many smart gadgets, is very hard to keep up and not be fatigued at the end of the day.

Have you ever felt a great lack of vitality, that you have no power to continue, that everything is an effort? I think we all went through though periods like this at some point in our lives. These days require us much more mentally than physically. What if we can do something that will enable us to prevent or deal better with overwhelm, with burnout.

Short analyze about energy:

First, let's get to know our enemy. Lack of energy is, unfortunately, a common thing now. To understand how is the mindset of an energetic person I would like to take a short trip to the past to see how I was then. At that time I was full of vitality, I was making many plans, I was doing a lot of new things and even if I didn't sleep at night I would recover immediately. Ok, I was younger, but this is not a defining thing, but something that must be compensated with the experience gained so far. What is most important to notice is the way of thinking then.

I was always looking at things from a positive perspective, visualizing the good that was going to happen even if I wasn't sure it would be. I had much more time for myself and I was careful to satisfy my needs and desires. I wanted to experience new things without being afraid of whether I will succeed or not. I was feeling free to do anything I wanted. I didn't think much until I made a decision, I was almost instinctive. I was present with myself and the world around me. I was encouraging and creating a good mood for the people I come in contact with. I would have done anything for my girlfriend. I was meeting more often with my family and friends. I had no money but I was much happier and fulfilled. I was enjoying to learn new things.

What can we do to improve our energy?

Now that I remembered how I was and cumulating with the experience, I could summarize what are the things that from my point of view increase energy. There are two categories: physical and mental health.

Physical health is one of the first things we need to keep in mind. And more precisely sleep, nutrition, and sports are the defining factors for maintaining physical health which in turn leads to mental health. What I can recommend is not to neglect the diseases we already have. They must be healed or kept under control. Periodic checks are a normal thing to do. I know, some of the recommendations seem trivial, but unfortunately, we all know them but we don't apply them.

Mental health is a much more complex thing and here we must always treat it carefully. This is due to the simple fact that over the years we make certain habits that become normal in our everyday life. Unfortunately, some of them are harmful and work against us. For good mental health that raises our energy daily, I recommend the following:

Make plans and goals for you and your families to grow in every possible way. But be careful not to get too tired in the process of touching them. There is no point in achieving these goals if in the meantime you destroy your health and peace.

Be positive. I think it's a piece of advice you hear everywhere, but it's worth mentioning. It's ok to see the good side of things because a positive mind is a happy and energetic mind. That doesn't mean you don't have negative feelings. They are also part of life and must be felt. But important is that our attention does not remain there in negativity. It's not easy, many of us have gone through indescribable horrors and maybe they don't believe in the good anymore. But the good is all around us, we just have to observe it and be grateful for it.

Talk to yourself, as my mother tells me, be your own psychologist. It is good to analyze and follow yourself over the days and years. Self-knowledge is something that few people have. In general, we are reactive beings who adapt to the life around us and become what the environment dictates. But, that doesn't help us grow as people, just to conform. So be yourself, be authentic, your time on this earth is limited.

Relax whenever you feel the need. Not always the situation allows us, but when it can be done please do it. Both relaxation and fatigue add up over time like at the bank. The more you collect, the more you have. So be careful what you collect. I'm sure I've got a lot of fatigue, but I need to change that now.

As time goes on, there are endless obligations in our lives that we have to do both in terms of work and in terms of a personal plan. These take up our time to a point where we actually no longer have time for ourselves. That is why we must know when to say NO to many of them, we must protect our free time. We need to feel that we can do whatever we want, we need to feel free. So please plan free time for you and your families as a matter of priority.

Be present with yourself, the people around you, and the environment. We live too long in our minds, with our thoughts. We must be present to feel life, to feel the moment. Life is short and must be lived. In addition, in order to make the right decision, we need to see things as they are, often our beliefs distort reality.

Good relations with our close ones give us a lot of positive energy. Choose many friends with whom you can easily connect and who will grow you as a person. Try as much as possible to avoid toxic relationships, even if sometimes you have to make difficult decisions, such as a breakup or leaving a job.

Thinking about the fact that maybe half of our lives are spent at work, it is very important that this is a pleasant place with nice people. It's not easy, because the vast majority of us are at jobs we don't like or the atmosphere there is unpleasant. In this case, we have two options: to look for a new job or to adapt to the current one, sometimes violating our deep beliefs.

I would like to share with you a problem that I still face, namely the personal pressure that we each put on ourselves. We all have plans and expectations that we impose on us. Sometimes because we have to, and sometimes because we think it is necessary. Constant pressure leads to a lot of energy loss. It is not worthwhile to reach our goal but to be exhausted and unable to enjoy success. It's like a marathon where you have to know how to dose your effort to reach the end.

Conclusion

Indeed, a debate on energy is neither a simple nor a short thing, but it is certainly something that should not be neglected. I hope I have covered the most important things to say on this subject and I will add more over time. What I would like you to do after reading this article is to identify three things you know you are not doing well with. Then for a month look for ways to improve them. If you have any questions about how this could be done please ask me and I will help.

I wish you a pleasant day and a personal development as productive as possible :)
