How to always have inner peace
Hello everyone,
today is a great day, because I am so blessed to have the opportunity and will to write you! Writing is a way to express yourself and pass it on to others. You can teach, analyze or even play about many things when writing. I am not a professional writer, far away from that, but I am doing my best. I am learning constantly and I can say that I enjoy it. I hope my blog posts are helping you in some way.
I hope to find you well. And I want to remind you to never give up on your dreams. Life is too short to be wasted on random things and feelings. You need to choose what you want and work your way to it. It is not easy, but is harder to regret it later. So don’t stop even at some point life is too difficult. This is normal, sometimes is hard, it seems even impossible, but this shall pass too. So get up and keep going, climb the mountain, and don’t stop until you succeed.
As a reminder, I want to tell you to take care and enjoy the road to success. Perhaps this is even more important than the achievement of your dream. It is the struggle, the learning, the curiosity that makes you feel the joy. Remember you are working on something you like. The winners are not lucky. They are hardworking, disciplined, patient, resilient and they are believers. Raise your life and become a winner.
Today I want to write about our inner peace. No matter how life is, you need to be able to protect your inner peace. This is so important for your physical and mental health. But it is not so easy. Imagine how would you feel and what decision you would take if you remained calm and focused during your life storms. I truly think that we will act much better in this state of mind.
I remember an idea that I heard from the great Tony Robbins some years ago. It is about a decision that we must take, maybe the most important one in our lives. This is to live in a beautiful state. Life is too short to constantly suffer. We need to commit and do the work to be happy, to feel happy, and to make others happy. To do this I think we need to have an unshakable inner peace.
Let’s pretend that it is morning and we need to prepare ourselves to go to work. We go in the bathroom to clean ourselves, then we do some flexibility exercises to start our body. Let’s not forget that we need to drink our water just after we wake up to revitalize our internal organs.
Next, we put our clothes on and grab all the things we need for work. Then we go to prepare food for us and our kids, most of the time should be a healthy one. We look for our pets to see if they have food and water. Let’s not forget that in the meantime we need to take care of our family needs. And the list of things we do continues until the end of the day.
During all this time we hear a voice that is constantly telling us what should we do and what we should worry about. This is our mind's voice and it is together with us all our lives. It can be our ally or our worst enemy. It is incredible how many things we hear from our mind and we need to filter things that we hear. Not everything is urgent, not everything is true, not everything must be done. If we master our minds we are already winners.
But we need not forget about the other voice that is speaking with us during our days. It is the soul's voice. This is that voice that is telling you how you feel and what you desire. Because the mind's voice is so noisy we tend to not take care of our soul's voice. This is a big mistake because a lot of frustration, unhappiness, malice, and depression are starting from here.
So, daily we have a lot of things to do. On top, we have our mind's voice, our soul's voice, and life's randomness that can mess our plans out. But what should we do to protect our inner peace? What should we do, as Tony is teaching, to make all those things from a beautiful place? Remember, you must decide and take this decision to raise your life! Your future self will thank you. You need to always protect your inner peace! You must always be your best friend!
Now, in my opinion, I think three main things are necessary to protect and preserve our inner peace.
First, it is necessary to accept the things we can’t change and focus on the ones we can. We have in our lives a lot of unwanted events, bad people, health issues, bad jobs, and so on. Let’s take as an example life’s unwanted events and pretend that we have a car accident. How can we control this? How we can change this? This already happened, we can’t change the past. There is nothing we can do, besides accept it and move on. I know it is easy to say, but you need to force yourself and make it so. The past is done! We can learn from it, but we must continue our lives focused on the things we can do and control.
Next, we need to see life as it is, not as our mind is telling us. Most of the time we don’t see the reality, because we have our beliefs about things that are automatically taking control. We need to change our mindset and see things as they really are. I have also a blog post on how to change your mindset that you can use here.
Another thing that can prevent us from seeing life’s reality is living in the past or living in the future. Being frustrated about our past or constantly worrying about our future is for sure not helping us see the reality around us. We need to be present in our lives, learn from the past, and work for a better future.
The last thing we can do to always protect our inner peace is to be calm. Yes, I truly believe that we can make better decisions if we are calm. Remember how many bad decisions you took when you were angry and how was the state of your mind and body in that particular moment.
Being calm also helps our health because we don’t push too hard our emotions and body. Just think how you feel when you are calm. Your body is relaxed, your emotions are manageable and you have space to think about what to do next. I remember a quote that I think works here: “Life is a mind game!”.
This question that I get never gets old: How we can be calm? This is difficult and I can tell you that I haven’t found yet the perfect recipe, but I am sure working on it. Hmmm, this could be a subject for my next blog post, I will think about that. There are a lot of things we can do to be calmer, and you can find a lot of resources online. The thing is that we are so different that I believe there is no general solution to this. Some points could be general, but others must be adapted for each of us.
In the end, I want to ask you that you always protect your inner peace. And from that feeling, you can live a better life. So, accept the things you can’t change, focus on the ones you can, be present in your life, and try to be calmer no matter what happens.
